Dr. Kerem Altun received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Middle East Technical University, and his Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bilkent University, in Ankara, Turkey, in 1999, 2002, and 2011, respectively. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia. His research interests include intelligent sensing, sensor signal processing, machine learning, pattern recognition, human motion tracking and gesture recognition, and sensor data fusion.
